O evento “Macau-China em Lisboa” pretendeu assinalar os 30 anos de reatamento dos Laços Diplomáticos entre a República Popular da China e Portugal, e os 10 anos de criação da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau. Teve, igualmente, como objectivo contribuir para o estreitamento dos laços de amizade e para o aprofundar do conhecimento recíproco entre Portugueses e Chineses, nomeadamente através da divulgação do conhecimento multidisciplinar sobre a China. O Observatório da China tomou a iniciativa de organizar este evento, tendo contado com o apoio organizativo da UCCLA - União das Cidades Capitais de Língua Portuguesa (Luso-Afro-Américo-Asiáticas). Para além de um conjunto de patrocinadores, algumas entidades decidiram associar-se a esta iniciativa, tais como a Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, a Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Chinesa, a Embaixada da China, o Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros, a CPLP - Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa, entre outras.
Neste contexto, o programa de “Macau-China em Lisboa” assumiu duas vertentes complementares: uma académica (uma conferência e a edição do livro “De Portugal à China”) e outra cultural (2 ciclos de cinema, 3 espectáculos musicais e 3 exposições).
ESPECTÁCULO INAUGURAL:
A sessão inaugural do evento realizou-se no dia 14 de Setembro, no Cinema S. Jorge, em Lisboa, e foi consubstanciada pelo concerto “Porto Interior” dos músicos Rão Kyao e Lu Yanan, antecedido pelas intervenções do Secretário-geral da UCCLA, Eng. Miguel Anacoreta Correia e do Presidente do Observatório da China, Mestre Rui D’ Ávila Lourido. Este espectáculo assinalou a abertura deste evento. Os músicos interpretaram um repertório com temas originais e tradicionais do folclore clássico português e chinês, acompanhados por instrumentos tradicionais como a flauta de bambu, a pi’pa e o guzheng. O concerto desenvolveu-se num ambiente quente onde não faltou o entusiasmo e interacção do público com os artistas, que foram calorosamente aplaudidos.
EXPOSIÇÕES:
Entre os dias 14 de Setembro a 01 de Outubro esteve patente ao público a exposição intitulada “Macau Património Mundial”, cedida pela Delegação Económica e Comercial de Macau, na Galeria de Exposições do Casino de Lisboa. Esta exposição apresenta imagens do património secular de Macau, de rara beleza e importância histórica (em grande parte Luso-Chinês). As duas restantes exposições fotográficas estiveram patentes no cinema S. Jorge, respectivamente intituladas: “Macau é um Espectáculo”, a qual foi cedida pelo Instituto Internacional de Macau, bem como a exposição “Olhares da China”, com fotografias cedidas pela Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Chinesa.
CINEMA:
A mostra de filmes chineses, do passado ao presente, cedidos pela Embaixada da China, decorreu no cinema S. Jorge, entre os dias 14 e 15 de Setembro, e 27 a 30 de Setembro.
O Ciclo de cinema sobre Macau, decorreu nos dias 16, 18, 22 e 25 de Setembro, tendo sido organizado e exibido pela Cinemateca Portuguesa.
CONCERTO DA ORQUESTRA METROPOLITANA:
O concerto de música de Câmara da Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa teve lugar no Palácio de Galveias, no dia 25 de Setembro. O quarteto de cordas formado por Carlos Damas (violino), José Teixeira (violino), Valentin Petrov (viola), e Jian Hong (violoncelo), tocou compositores chineses - Liu Tian Hua, He Zan Hão, e Antonín Dvorák. O concerto foi bastante apreciado, tendo os instrumentistas sido muito aplaudidos.
CONFERÊNCIA:
A conferência “As Relações Luso-Chinesas e a Região Administrativa Especial de Macau: Que Balanço e Perspectivas para a as Relações Bilaterais e o Papel de Macau como Ponte para o Reforço da Lusofonia?”, foi realizada no dia 01 de Outubro na Delegação Económica e Comercial de Macau. A sessão de abertura contou com a participação do Dr. João Cravinho (Secretário de Estado dos Negócios Estrangeiros e da Cooperação), do Eng. Raimundo do Rosário (Chefe da Delegação Económica e Comercial de Macau), da Dra. Manuela Júdice (Vereadora para as Relações Exteriores da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa), e do Mestre Rui Lourido (Presidente do Observatório da China).
A Conferência analisou os seguintes temas: “30 anos de relações diplomáticas Luso-Chinesas: Balanço e Perspectivas Futuras; “Os primeiros 10 anos da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau (RAEM)”; “Sistema legislativo, língua e cultura na RAEM”; e “A vertente económica das relações Luso-Chinesas e da China com os países de língua portuguesa”.
ESPECTÁCULO DE ENCERRAMENTO:
O espectáculo Fusão encerrou com chave d’ouro o extenso programa de actividades - “Macau-China em Lisboa”, que teve lugar no Auditório dos Oceanos do Casino de Lisboa, no dia 01 de Outubro às 21:30h. Espectáculo apropriadamente intitulado de fusão, pois nele interagiram diferentes expressões as artística (música, dança, poesia, imagem) e tradições multiculturais (chinesa, portuguesa e cabo-verdiana). O espectáculo contou com a participação da cantora de ópera chinesa e instrumentista Cao Bei, da cantora cabo-verdiana Celina Pereira, e da Voz Revelação do Fado 2009 – Cristina Nóbrega. A Amálgama Companhia de Dança protagonizou momentos deslumbrantes de dança. Os momentos de poesia foram da responsabilidade do declamador Pedro Lamares e do poeta António Graça de Abreu. O ambiente foi pontuado pela projecção de imagens artísticas de Manuela Pimentel. Foram tocados durante o espectáculo instrumentos clássicos europeus e chineses, como o violino, o piano, a viola e a guitarra portuguesa, e a harpa chinesa, dando um grande enriquecimento ao mesmo. O momento culminante deste espectáculo de fusão deu-se com a interpretação fantástica do fado/morna Saudade, pelo trio composto por Cao Bei, Celina Pereira e Cristina Nóbrega e por todos os restantes artistas em palco, que em conjunto com o público encerram, de forma grandiosa ,este espectáculo.
O Presidente do Observatório da China, na sua breve mensagem de encerramento do evento “Macau-China em Lisboa”, agradeceu aos restantes organizadores, aos patrocinadores, às instituições apoiantes, aos conferencistas que contribuíram com o seu saber na conferência realizada, e a todos os espectadores que, com a sua presença, fizeram das diferentes iniciativas desenvolvidas um sucesso.

The event "Macao, China in Lisbon" ("Macau-China em Lisboa") intended to mark the 30th anniversary of resumption of diplomatic ties between China and Portugal, and 10 years of establishment of the Região Administrativa Especial de Macau (Macao Special Administrative Region). He had also intended to contribute to the strengthening of ties of friendship and deepen mutual knowledge between Portuguese and Chinese, in particular by disseminating multidisciplinary knowledge on China. The Observatory of China (Observatório da China ) took the initiative to organize this event, having enjoyed the support of organizational UCCLA - Union of Capital Cities of Portuguese (União das Cidades Capitais de Língua Portuguesa ). In addition to a number of sponsors, some entities have decided to join this initiative, such as the Lisbon City Council (Câmara Municipal de Lisboa ), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Chinese (Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Chinesa), the Chinese Embassy (Embaixada da China), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros ), the CPLP - Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa), among others.
In this context, the program "Macao-China in Lisbon" ("Macau-China em Lisboa" ) has taken two complementary approaches: an academic (a conference and publishing the book "From Portugal to China" ("De Portugal à China" ) and other cultural (2 cycles of films, music performances and three 3 exhibitions).
INAUGURAL SHOW:
The inaugural session of the event was held on September 14, at Cinema S. Jorge, Lisbon, and was reflected by the concert "inner harbor" ("Porto Interior") of the musicians Rão Kyao and Lu Yanan, preceded by speeches from the UCCLAS's ecretary-General , Eng. Miguel Anacoreta Correia, and the President of the Observatory for China (Observatório da China), Master Rui D'Ávila Lourido. This show marked the opening of this event. The musicians performed a repertoire with original songs and traditional folklore of the classic Portuguese and Chinese, accompanied by traditional instruments like the bamboo flute, and the pi'pa guzheng. The concert has developed a environment where they lacked the enthusiasm and public interaction with the artists, who were warmly applauded.
EXHIBITIONS:
Between September 14 to October 01 was open to the public the exhibition entitled "Macau World Heritage" ("Macau Património Mundial"), courtesy of economic and trade delegation from Macau in the Exhibition Gallery of Casino Lisboa. This exhibition presents images from the secular heritage of Macau, of rare beauty and historical importance (largely Luso-Chinese). The remaining two photo exhibitions were evident in the film S. Jorge respectively entitled: "Macau is a Show" ("Macau é um Espectáculo"), which was ceded by the International Institute of Macau (Instituto Internacional de Macau ), as well as the exhibition "Perspectives from China" ("Olhares da China"), with photographs provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Chinese (Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Chinesa ).
CINEMA:
The exhibition of Chinese films, from past to present, donated by the Chinese Embassy (Embaixada da China), was held at the cinema S. Jorge, between 14 and 15 September and 27-30 September.
The Cycle film about Macau, took place on 16, 18, 22 and 25 September and was organized and broadcast by Portuguese Cinematheque.
METROPOLITANA ORCHESTRA CONCERT:
The chamber music concert of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon (Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa) took place at the Palace Galveias on 25 September. The string quartet consisting of Carlos Damas (violin), José Teixeira (violin), Valentin Petrov (viola), and Jian Hong (cello), played by Chinese composers - Liu Tian Hua, Hao He Zan, and Antonín Dvorák. The concert was greatly appreciated and the instrumentalists has been praised.
CONFERENCE:
The conference "The Luso-Chinese Relations and the Special Administrative Region of Macau: What Balance and Prospects for Bilateral Relations and the Role of Macao as a bridge for strengthening the Lusophone?" Was held on 01 October in the economic and trade delegation Macau. The opening session was attended by Dr. John Cloves (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation), Dr. Raymond of the Rosary (Head of Delegation of Macao Economic and Trade), Dra. Manuela Júdice (Councillor for Foreign Relations of the Municipality of Lisbon), and Master Rui Lourido (President of the Observatory for China).
The Conference examined the following themes: "30 years of Luso-Chinese diplomatic relations: Assessment and Future Prospects," The first 10 years of Macao Special Administrative Region (RAEM) ";" legislative system, language and culture in Macao ", and "The economic aspect of the Luso-Chinese relations and China and the Portuguese-speaking countries."
CLOSING SHOW:
The show ended with "Fusion" ("Fusão") the extensive program of activities - "Macao, China in Lisbon" ("Macau-China em Lisboa") which took place in the Casino Lisbon's Auditorium of the Oceans on 01 October. "Fusion" ("Fusão" ) show appropriately titled, since it interacted with the different artistic expressions (music, dance, poetry, image) and multicultural traditions (Chinese, Portuguese and Cape Verdean). The show was attended by the Chinese opera singer and instrumentalist Cao Bei, the Cape Verdean singer Celina Pereira, and the Revelation and the Voice of Fado 2009 - Cristina Nóbrega. The Amalgama Dance Company (Amálgama Companhia de Dança) staged the amazing moments of dance. The moments of poetry were the responsibility of Pedro Lamares reciter, and poet António Graça de Abreu. The atmosphere was punctuated by projecting images of the artistic Manuela Pimentel. Were played during the show European and Chinese traditional instruments such as violin, piano, viola and Portuguese guitar, and Chinese harp, giving a great enrichment to it. The climax of this show of mergers took place with the fantastic interpretation of fado "Longing" ("Saudade"), the trio composed by Cao Bei, Celina Pereira and Cristina Nóbrega and all the other artists on stage, which together with the audience close of big way, this show.
The President of the Observatory for China (Observatório da China), in his brief closing message of the event "Macao, China in Lisbon" ("Macau-China em Lisboa"), thanked the other organizers, sponsors, supporters institutions, the lecturers who contributed their knowledge in conference, and all spectators, with their presence, have made the different initiatives a success.
This was our small contribution to a better understanding between peoples and civilizations diferentes.Knowledge and understanding that we consider essential in this globalized world and in the context of current global economic crisis.
